Niedoskonała, to oparta na prawdziwych wydarzeniach historia która prowadzi czytelnika poprzez niecodzienne i pełne wyzwań związki. Magdalena, główna bohaterka, narratorka opowieści, mogłaby być każdą z was.

About the author

Magdalena Ganowska, a fast speaking over-enthusiast who always looks on the bright side, lives in Poland, a supposedly near-Arctic country with polar bears running around her communistic-looking block of flats. She shares a life with a husband, a never serious, real looker with an ingrained love for football and herself, and a daughter, Nadia, a hyperactive and gorgeous two year old girl. A canary yellow Fiat Panda with faded upholstery which loyally guards the vicinity of their dwelling, likes to think of itself as a part of this extraordinary family.

About the book

Imperfect is a semi-fictional, self-published memoir which takes you on a journey through all sorts and types of intricate and challenging relationships. Meg, the main heroin, the storyteller, could be anybody. Ordinary on the surface, complex and unique in reality. Depicted here, we have a life of a young woman who after hitting the bottom, clawed her way up to the very peak.

Solitude, this fatal modern disease, is what Meg had had to tackle since her parents' divorce. As a fifteen years old, she started an affair she hoped would mend her wounds but what it actually did to her, was everything but. Many years later, she's given a second chance in life, but her closet, overflowing with skeletons, is something that she finds intimidating and has no idea how to get over it and move on.

With a shocking prologue, breathtaking honesty and startling moments of retrospection, the reader is able to dip into the action set in contemporary Gdansk, a magical city situated on the north of Poland, just by the Baltic Sea.

This extremely gripping story is not another mawkish prattle but based on true events, brave and straightforward modern tale of how varied faces love can wear. Written by a completely unknown, first time author from Poland, Mrs. Magdalena Ganowska, is a proof that in life, everything is possible.

Reviews:

"Although it may not have been written in the most sophisticated language, Mrs Magdalena depicts a life of a women who seems to be real and honest. I cried with her and laughed with her. I have also fallen with love along with her. The way she described her feelings and experiences.... it left me speechless. I personally think that it was very brave of her to write this story but I wonder how much of it is really true, cause when you start reading, it seems to be a real memoir, not just a story based on true events."

"I have read this book in few evenings, it is really breath taking, funny, lovely story. It is easy to read and main character is fantastic! I would highly recommend this book to anyone!! Hope to read New book of this author soon."

"The narrator of this book is taking us for a dark journey through her disturbed life. She is sharing with the readers all the dark secrets that were kept deep inside her. The story is painfully honest and shows us how hard a childhood and teenage years can be and what damage can they cause; a damage that we need to deal with in our adult life. But there is always hope, even the most fragile soul can find a happy ending. It is an interesting story that will make you keep your fingers crossed for Magdalena, the main heroin. After all, don't we all deserve a bit of happiness?"
